Reiko and I went to the Taipei zoo to ride the Maokong gondolas. They’re a huge 4 Km ride up steep slopes and there are some clear bottom cars too so you can see below during the ride. The view of Taipei is really fantastic from the elevation, even without maximum visibility. There’s a cool little village at the top known for tea production and we had a super tasty tea oil noodle that was unlike any other oil noodle I’ve ever had. The crispy fried onion on top was incredible. Afterwards we walked around and found a cool temple just as a breathtaking full moonrise was happening.
